Owners of a growing optometry practice take on an extreme renovation for a functional, central location

Supreme Structures completed a full renovation of a former Frank Lloyd Wright–inspired building to create a modern, 2,250-square-foot clinic for Samuelson Eyecare. After outgrowing their previous downtown location, the owners chose a new site that offers street-level access, ample parking, and room to support continued practice growth. The project required extensive demolition, structural repair, and a complete redesign of the interior to create a functional, patient-focused layout.

PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS

New functional layout with four exam rooms, doctors’ offices, optical rooms, pre-test room, and contact lens training area
Structural repairs including jacking and rebuilding deteriorated wood walls, and resolving basement moisture issues
Exterior updates: restored stone walls, roof repair, beam painting, planter removal, and new anodized aluminum windows
Interior features: acoustical ceiling, restored laminated beams, Cambria Quartz transaction counter, custom dispensary tables, and commercial carpet tiles
Expanded basement after excavation, doubling usable storage and support space
Dedicated parking and improved accessibility for long-term growth
