Supreme Structures Construction client named 2019 Design for a Difference Madison makeover recipient, transformed with unmatched renovation
Supreme Structures partnered with the Wil-Mar Neighborhood Center on a transformative interior and exterior renovation that revitalizes the 1968 facility while preserving its history and community identity. Structural concerns, failing finishes and inefficient layouts were addressed throughout the building. Midway through planning, Wil-Mar was selected for the Design for a Difference Madison makeover, which accelerated the project and added significant design upgrades. A later exterior phase further ensures the center can continue to serve thousands of community members each year with renewed comfort and functionality.
PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS
- Yahara Room ceiling opened to expose original vaulted structure
- Kitchen reconfigured with new cabinetry, shelving and efficient service layout
- Lower level updated with larger art room, computer room and new exercise room
- HVAC, electrical, plumbing and insulation improvements for energy efficiency
- Second phase added new ADA ramp, exterior doors, roof, skylights, concrete and siding
