Top-five Madison, Wisconsin employer invests in a state-of-the-art facility for customers and distributors

A Madison-area leader in premium refrigeration, wine-preservation and cooking equipment entrusted Supreme Structures to build a 13,600-sq-ft timber-frame barn and 1,600-sq-ft outdoor kitchen that blends modern amenities with the region’s agricultural heritage. The design-build project, which incorporated reclaimed materials for more than 75% of the project and green-built features, delivers an immersive farm-to-table experience for clients and visitors.

PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS

Multi-layer design-build effort, with more than 50 professionals working simultaneously across two stories; subcontractors split between client- and contractor-hired
Hand-restored 150-year-old hardwood beams with preserved historical scribe marks, engineered for modern code compliance
Other reclaimed and repurposed materials include barnwood and floorboards, doors, shutters, cabinetry, stone, mantel and ledge and vintage cupolas
Outdoor kitchen features custom stainless steel counter and sink, gas grills, warming drawers, and stone countertops
Immersive visitor experience: food-prep demonstration kitchen, root cellar, walk-in freezer, dining/lounge areas and second-floor loft
High-efficiency building envelope: structural insulated panels (SIPs), LED lighting throughout, and hydronic cooling with air chillers integrated into historic aesthetic
