BizExpo 2013 focuses on connection and education – By Dan Bertler
I do good business by surrounding myself with good people.
At Supreme Structures, I rely on business relationships from financing, architecture, material suppliers, to the last employee sweeping out the dust before a ribbon cutting. Outside of the contracting world, we all rely on relationships in our business ventures. Let’s face it – we can’t be experts on everything.
It is that very business concept that has me so excited about this year’s Greater Madison Chamber of Commerce BizExpo. The annual expo takes place at the Alliant Energy Center on Tuesday, April 23 and is noted as the region’s largest. The theme of the conference is “Imagine, Believe, Innovate” and the Chamber is emphasizing the event as an opportunity to connect and educate.
For anyone that has attended a business conference in the past, you may have experienced the typical “take my company pen” and “drop your business card for a chance to win.” (The BizExpo is still likely to have some of that.) But, the difference in Madison is the Chamber-driven focus on innovation, fostered by connection and education. Our common goal is to make Madison a desirable and envied place to do business. BizExpo 2013 is an opportunity to take your business to the next level.
If you are a business owner, a decision maker, interested in your community, or looking for business education, you need to make time to attend on April 23.
Come prepared to excel your business. Instead of asking, “what are you trying to sell me?” ask “how can your expertise make my business better?”
