Humane Society of Jefferson County
Capital campaign and low maintenance, high functioning facility enables nonprofit to increase funds designated for direct animal care
Supreme Structures built a new 10,000 sq ft, state-of-the-art animal shelter to replace the Humane Society of Jefferson County’s aging facility. The new building nearly triples usable space, improves medical care, supports animal health and safety, and creates a better experience for staff, volunteers, and adopters. The project was supported by a community-driven capital campaign and included several thoughtful design efficiencies to reduce long-term operating costs.
