SWCAP Neighborhood Health Partners
Cooperation with public-private downtown development results in more space, increased functionality, and renewed awareness within the community
Supreme Structures remodeled the former Platteville Public Library to create an expanded, modern clinic for Southwest Wisconsin Community Action Program (SWCAP) Neighborhood Health Partners. The project was part of a large public-private redevelopment initiative that included a new public library, hotel, and public parking. After a temporary relocation and multiple construction phases, the clinic moved into a space that improved functionality and increased capacity, access and awareness.
PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS
- Clinic doubled in size with space for expanded healthcare and future behavioral health services
- Temporary relocation supported with minor renovations to a 1,200 sq ft transitional space
- Multi-phase project including demolition of six existing structures and coordinated tenant moves
- Supported by tax-increment financing, WHEDA and Forward Community Investments tax credits, and private development
